Fragments of recovered building rubble, surfaces marked by time, become a support for the transcription of some of the largest and most polluted rivers in the world.
The act of engraving penetrates the material and reveals its stratifications: layers of paint accumulated over the years emerge as traces of an invisible history, shaped by transformation, consumption, and accumulation. The incised lines trace the path of water, referring to aquifers, to what flows beneath our surface and remains unseen. The work connects the water cycle with the concept of stratification in its broadest sense—geological, temporal, biological, and political—questioning the impact of humans on the landscape and the memory of matter. In the context of the Anthropocene, rivers and aquifers become invisible archives of human impact, material records of collective and environmental memory. In the slow, manual gesture of engraving, the map registers a process. The rubble, normally destined for removal, is reconfigured as a fragile and mobile anti-sculpture.​

Frammenti di macerie edilizie recuperate, superfici segnate dal tempo diventano supporto per la trascrizione di mappe di fiumi tra i più grandi e più inquinati al mondo.L’atto dell’incisione attraversa la materia e ne rivela le stratificazioni: strati di pittura sedimentati negli anni emergono come tracce di una storia invisibile, fatta di trasformazioni, consumo e accumulo. Le linee incise tracciano il percorso dall’acqua, rimandando alle falde acquifere, a ciò che scorre sotto la nostra superficie e che non è visibile. Il lavoro mette in relazione il ciclo dell’acqua con il concetto di stratificazione nel suo senso più ampio — geologico, temporale, biologico e politico — interrogando l’impatto dell’uomo sul paesaggio e sulla memoria della materia. Nel contesto dell’Antropocene, i fiumi e le falde acquifere diventano archivi invisibili dell’impatto umano, archivi materiali di una memoria collettiva e ambientale. Nel gesto lento e manuale dell’incisione, la mappa registra un processo. Le macerie, normalmente destinate alla rimozione, si configurano come un’anti-scultura fragile e mobile.
